Water sports training should be fun and exciting for your adventure pup ~ a pawsitive experience!
Paw-tip: Before your first day on the water starts with familiarizing your pup to wearing their life jacket beforehand. Life jackets for your pup that have a handle on the back are my preference. If there is a topple and a splash, you can use the handle to assist getting your pup back on the board. Let your pup get used to the board on shore, and then you can introduce your pup to the board in calm shallow water. Start with short safe sessions close to shore before progressing out on longer adventures. You want the board to be a happy place for your pup! Lots of praise, patience, practice and, of course, treats make a world of difference to build your pup’s confidence!
